The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has described the election of Dimal Basha as parliamentary speaker as "a victory of ignorance and an unforgivable mistake of its supporters."

“Kosovo, as we never imagined,” he wrote on Facebook. Abdixhiku said Basha “represents their level.”

"This is how they project the Republic. With these values, they have chosen to honor the voters and people of Kosovo," he added.

Abdixhiku's LDK voted against Basha.

"Kosovo must aspire high. The political accidents and triumphs of historical ignorance will be overcome. One day there will be light," he concluded.
