The accused Granit Plava gave detailed testimony yesterday at the Basic Court in Pristina, where he stated that he had an agreement with Naim Murseli to take responsibility for the murder of Liridona Ademaj. He emphasized that he had carried out all actions according to Murseli's instructions and based on what they had previously agreed upon.

Plava confessed that the agreement between them was made a few days before the incident, when they met at Mursel's initiative. According to him, the latter had asked him not to talk to anyone and had even given him money from the beginning.

"He left it on my table... he told me not to say anything," Plava declared, adding that Murseli had also distributed money to other people involved.

He claimed that the initially mentioned amount of 30 thousand euros was only to be declared to the police, while in reality the agreement was for a much larger amount.

"These 30 thousand euros that I told the police... in fact they were going to give them 250 thousand euros, but gradually," he said, adding that this money was a "gift for maintaining the prison."

According to Plava, in addition to money, Mursel had also promised him a job and support for his family, and had assured him that he would not stay in prison for long.

"I wouldn't even keep him in prison for two years... I know what power I have," he quoted Mursel as saying, adding that he had also been offered a monthly salary and a car.

According to him, Murseli told him that Behgjet Pacolli was also aware of this case.

"In Naimi's words, as Naimi told me, he told me that Behgjet Pacolli was also aware of this case, you know what power we have, he told me. There is no chance of him being in prison for more than two years," Plava said.

In his testimony, Plava also gave his version of the events of November 29, 2023. He said that they had met at a gas station that day and then moved together. According to him, Murseli had been tense and constantly on the phone.

Speaking about the moment of purchasing the weapon, Plava said:

“Naimi took the gun, put it in his pocket… he had planned to take the bullets until we changed the tires.”
He further confessed that he had followed Mursel's instructions until the moment of the incident. According to him, he had heard the gunshot and then saw Mursel approaching him.

"I heard the gunshot... he came and threw the gun at me and said 'go away, disappear'," Plava declared.

He added that after that he quickly left the scene, taking the weapon with him.

Plava also emphasized that initially he did not know who the victim was and that only a day later he realized that it was Mursel's wife.

"He never told me who the person was... he just told me to take responsibility," he said.

In his testimony, Plava stated that he had given his previous testimony to the police under pressure and in accordance with the agreement he had with Mursel.

"That statement I gave was under pressure from the police," he said, adding that he was now telling his true version.

In the end, he expressed regret for the incident, emphasizing that he was not fully aware of the circumstances and the victim.

"I'm sorry for what happened that day," Plava declared, before announcing that he would continue to defend himself in silence.
