US President Donald Trump, through a post on "Social Truth", has condemned reports that Iran is placing mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
He emphasizes that Washington has no reports that Iran was carrying out this, but added that if this were true they should be removed immediately.
According to him, the military consequences will be at an unprecedented level if they are not removed.
"If Iran has placed any mines in the Strait of Hormuz, and we have no reports that they have, we want them removed IMMEDIATELY!"
"If for some reason mines are placed, and they are not removed immediately, the military consequences for Iran will be at a level never seen before. If, on the other hand, they remove what may have been placed, that would be a giant step in the right direction," Trump wrote.
