US general: Iran is not as scary as we expected

General Dan Caine, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, acknowledged that Iran is adapting to the US military campaign, but stressed that this does not make it stronger than anticipated.

"They are fighting and I respect that, but I don't think they are any more frightening than we expected," he said.

Caine declined to provide details about the tactical changes he believes Iranian forces are making and which of them pose the greatest challenges for the US military.

According to him, the main targets of American operations remain Iran's military capabilities, including missiles and their launch systems, the Iranian navy, and the country's military and industrial base.

The purpose of these attacks, according to the American general, is to prevent the Iranian regime from being able to attack Americans, US interests, and its allies for years to come.
