Spain's Canary Islands have been hit by at least 10 earthquakes in the past 24 hours.
Although small in magnitude, the earthquakes caused minimal damage in some areas.
The strongest tremor was 3.6 Richter and was recorded in the west of the archipelago, while lighter earthquakes followed.
The Canary Islands are located between the tectonic plates of Africa, Eurasia and America and are therefore always exposed to seismic activity.
People fear the idea that a stronger tremor could follow and therefore, many of them have spent the night outside.
