Dima Tower has killed the American couple who adopted him seven years ago from an orphanage in his country. The young man, who lost his mother when he was young and was abandoned by his alcoholic father, fled the police in the car bought for him by his adoptive parents and hid for about eight hours in a small forest , until someone is found and arrested.

According to the New York Post, police in North Falk, Florida received a call at midnight last Friday from a neighbor of the couple who had heard a woman screaming for help outside her home. When he finally opened the door to see what was happening, he found only a few drops of blood on the floor and notified the authorities.

Upon arriving at the couple's home, officers saw the suspect closing the trunk of his car and ordered him to remain still. He ignored their instructions, got into the car and sped away. After eluding the police, he abandoned the vehicle and hid in a forest until authorities discovered him at around 8am on Saturday.

What the police witnessed inside the house of the couple, who allegedly surrounded the young man with love since he was 14 years old, was serious. Robbie and Jennifer Tower were dead in their room covered in blood, their bodies positioned so that their heads touched.

"They were both very good, loving people. It doesn't make sense what happened, none of us can understand this hatred. They were the only people in the boy's life who tried to help him. They treat him like he's their biological son," Warren Raines, Robbie Tower's uncle, told the New York Post.

The couple, unable to have children, adopted Dima at the age of 14 from an orphanage in Ukraine. "His body was full of bruises when he lived in the orphanage. They took him out to eat and he ate six hot dong because he was not getting enough food. These orphanages are like children's prisons," the elderly man told the newspaper.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the motive for the rampage, which is believed to have lasted several minutes as the entire house was covered in pools of blood.
