Youth-led protests are taking an increasingly violent tone in Nepal. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's house was burned down, and his Finance Minister, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, was chased and beaten through the streets of Kathmandu, videos show.
The protests, which began on Monday with demands that the government lift the ban on social media and fight corruption, were revived despite the apps being brought back online.
Kathmandu police spokesman Shekhar Khanal said some groups had refused to obey a curfew on Tuesday, telling AFP there were protesters on the streets in many areas and "incidents of fire and attacks".
