The Chinese president wants cooperation with the US to provide stability to the
Xi Jinping

Chinese President Xi Jinping said China is willing to work with the United States for the benefit of both countries, the state-run China News Agency reported on Thursday.

At the session of the National Committee on China-US relations, he assessed that the two countries, as major world powers, should strengthen communication and cooperation to provide stability to the world.

The tightening of relations between Beijing and Washington occurred after Russia's attack on Ukraine and the departure of senior US officials to Taiwan in August.

China then announced that the US was sending "dangerous signals" regarding Taiwan, which China considers its territory.

Xi recently said that if necessary, China will never refrain from using force in the case of Taiwan, while US President Joe Biden said the US does not want a conflict with China.
