Analysis of black boxes for US plane crash begins: Suspicions of incorrect
Scenes from the search for survival

Investigators in the United States still do not have a clear lead on the causes of the tragic air crash on Wednesday night in Washington, where 67 people died when a military helicopter collided with a passenger plane.

Emergency crews recovered the plane's black boxes from the wreckage in the Potomac River.

Investigators said they contain important information, but a preliminary report based on their data could be released in 30 days.

Suspicions have been raised that there was a lack of proper coordination from the airport control tower, as the Black Hawk military helicopter was flying at an altitude above the permitted rate at the time of the collision.

24 hours before the tragedy, a similar case had threatened another plane crash.

Experts told American media that in the published audio recording, control tower employees give the helicopter pilots very vague explanations about the route they should follow.

US President Donald Trump, at Thursday's press conference, blamed the Biden administration's diversity and inclusion policy, which he said had hired people without experience in jobs where the criteria should be strict.
