Netanyahu dismisses the Israeli Minister of Defense, also changes the Minister of Foreign Affairs

Benjamin Netanyahu / Yoav Gallant

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fired his defense minister, Yoav Gallant, and appointed Israel Katz as Israel's new defense minister.

Gideon Saar has been appointed Foreign Minister.

Netanyahu said there have been many gaps between him and Gallant regarding the management of Israel's wars.

He added that a "crisis of confidence" gradually developed between him and Gallant that did not allow normal management of the war, Reuters reports.
