As Donald Trump wraps up his final campaign speech, the first results of Election Day are in.
The result is a tie between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, according to the BBC.
The first polls in the US opened a little earlier in the remote, unincorporated New Hampshire town of Dixville Notch.
The community first opened its doors at midnight on November 5, to participate in the annual midnight voting tradition. Voting in the city was open until everyone in the city — a total of six people in the January 2024 primary — cast a ballot.
And the result? A clean split – three for Harris and three for Trump.
Dixville Notch follows a similar trend of firsts for the state, which leads the country in holding presidential elections.
New Hampshire has often been spotlighted by the media as a testing ground to determine the two leading parties.
