As of next September, Miroslav Lajcak will no longer be the European Union's special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
This is because in the framework of the great rotation that the EU is doing in diplomatic posts around the world, Lajcak is expected to be ambassador to Switzerland.
Radio Free Europe learns from diplomatic sources that Lajcak will start his mandate in the Swiss capital, Bern, on September 1 of this year.
It is not yet known who will replace Lajcak in the post of special envoy for the dialogue for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
The same sources told REL that the current EU ambassador to Estonia, Aivo Orav, has been chosen to be the new head of the European bloc's Office in Kosovo. This post also has the rank of EU special representative.
