Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke on the phone today with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and stated that he had informed him of Kosovo's intention to ban the participation of the Serbian List in the upcoming elections in Kosovo.
"I have informed Minister Lavrov, as a representative of a UN member state, that Pristina, in violation of all acts of public international law, is trying to prevent the Serbian List from participating in the upcoming elections," Vučić said on his Instagram account.
He announced that they discussed and expressed concern about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, and agreed that full compliance with the Dayton Peace Agreement is the best way to maintain peace and stability.
The topic of conversation was the announced sanctions against NIS, and as Vučić said, as soon as the US sanctions are revealed, a meeting of experts from Serbia and Russia was organized.
He emphasized that the conversation was meaningful and very good.
"We also discussed all other important issues of our bilateral cooperation, confirmed the friendship between our countries and expressed our belief that with our greater commitment we can increase trade exchange between Serbia and Russia," Vučić said.
