The British Secretary of Defense, Ben Wallace, has stated that Russia has lost in the military campaign in Ukraine, 15,000 troops in just 9 weeks.

"Our estimate is that about 15,000 Russian troops were killed during their offensive," Wallace said.

His statement was issued by the British Embassy in the US. According to him, a quarter of the groups of tactical battalions are no longer able to fight.

The figure makes a lot of sense because it compares to estimates of another Moscow-led war in Afghanistan, 1979-1989, in which 14,500 Soviet troops are said to have lost their lives. If Russia's failure in this conflict is confirmed, at least militarily and in terms of leadership it is colossal.

Wallace added that the Russian Ministry of Defense has failed to command and control all levels, which explains the review of the objectives of the initial offensive.

The British secretary goes further with the figures when he states that Ukraine has seized 2000 armored vehicles, of which 530 tanks and has destroyed 60 helicopters and fighter jets.
