Kosovo, parliamentary session fails, MPs not sworn in

The deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo have not voted on the report of the Temporary Committee for the Verification of Mandates and Quorum.

The temporary committee presented the report to the deputies and requested that it be voted on, in order to verify the mandates of the 120 deputies elected on February 9, based on the list certified by the Central Election Commission.

The deputies of the LVV and the Social Democratic Initiative voted for the report. Those of the PDK, LDK and AAK were against.

"Fifty-two deputies voted in favor, 46 against, and 11 abstained. Based on this, we conclude that the report of the Temporary Committee does not pass," said the chairman of the session.

The chairman of the session invited representatives of political entities to consult, causing the Assembly to go into recess again.
