Two young men, one from Albania and another living in Manchester, have ended up behind bars in Great Britain after being caught selling drugs.

It was the owner of the apartment where they were renting in Norëich who called the police. "My house has turned into a base for drug distribution," she told the police.

The law enforcement immediately organized an action in the apartment, which led to the arrest of 19-year-old Albanian Leon Meminaj and his friend Pedro Gaspar, 21-year-old of Portuguese origin. Both were arrested during a chase after attempting to escape from the roof of the apartment.

During the search, the police found quantities of cocaine, heroin, cash, a knife and the lyrics of a "rap" song that talked about drug sales and stabbing murders.

The defense argued that the Albanian Meminaj was only 18 years old when he was involved in illegal activity. He had left Ireland and ended up homeless in Britain.

They were each sentenced to three years of imprisonment in the Youth Penitentiary.
