What did Le Pen say to Macron after the victory? The call is detected
Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen

After congratulating Emmanuel Macron on his re-election last Sunday, Marine Le Pen warned him that the next presidential election, in 2027, "will most likely be the right time for her victory."

According to BFM TV, shortly after 8pm at Le Pen headquarters in Bois de Boulogne's Pavillon d'Armenonville, everyone realized from the percentages that there was no hope.

"Her closest associates realized at that moment that Le Pen had lost more than expected. "They hoped for 45%," said Philippe Corbé, head of the broadcaster's political service.

At that moment, according to Republican tradition, the potential candidate calls the winner to wish him victory and concede defeat.

But he reveals that he does not have the phone number of the head of state: "None of us have it", confirms the Rassemblement National MP, Sébastien Chenu, who says that he then contacted Macron's closest associates, such as Richard Ferrand, Thierry Solère, Gabriel Attal, to retrieve the phone number.

"We finally had it and Marine Le Pen is isolated on the terrace to talk to Emmanuel Macron," says Chenu. It was a fairly short conversation, shortly after 8 p.m. In addition to congratulating the re-elected president, Marine Le Pen also made a "joke", adds Chenu:

"She told her that at this pace, after 5 years, she wishes her not to return, because it will most likely be her victory."

Unless there are changes to the Constitution in the next 5 years, which is currently unlikely, Macron will not be able to reappear in 2027. But once the second term ends, nothing will stop the newest President of the Republic to re-run in 2032.
