Some schools in Montenegro have been closed today due to the alarm raised by the authorities after several threatening emails arrived at their address.

Due to the anonymous threatening messages that appeared this morning in many official school emails, some schools across Montenegro were evacuated.

Podgorica schools have received a recommendation from the Police Directorate (UP) that students who are in the second shift, which usually starts at noon, not come to class. Some schools in Podgorica have already notified parents to come to school for younger children, while older children to go home.

The bombs were reported in Bar, Herceg Novi, Budva, Kotor, Bijelo Polje, Danilovgrad, Mojkovac, Niksic, Bijelo Polje, Cetinje, Plava, Gusinje, Petrovac, Kolashinin. The bomb was reportedly planted at Savo Ilic Primary School in Kotor and the Blazo Jokov Orlandić, Anto Đedovic, Kekec and Srbija Primary Schools in Bar, so the students returned home this morning.

"We are acting in accordance with the protocol and we are taking all measures and actions," said the police.

The report on the planted bomb also arrived at the e-mail address of the Educational Center in Savnik, around 09:10. The students were safely evacuated, as well as the teaching staff, while the facility was secured by the police.

Also evacuated are all primary schools in Herceg Novi, kindergarten and both schools in Cetinje "Lovćenski partizanski odred" and "Njegos".

The three primary schools in Budva municipality - "Mirko Srzentic" in Petrovac and "Stefan Mitrov Ljubisa" in Budva and the second primary school - received mail that the bomb had been planted.

Budva police have confirmed for "Vijesti" that they are at the scene. Parents are invited to come and pick up their children and classes are not held in those schools.

The evacuation of primary school students is ongoing, and there will be no afternoon classes.
