Elon Musk appeared black-eyed at his farewell press conference with US President Donald Trump, saying his five-year-old son "punched him in the face".

The billionaire and the president held the joint event in the Oval Office to mark the departure of Tesla's "CEO" from the government.

A bruise on Musk's right eye was visible under his black "Doge" hat. When asked about the injury, the billionaire said his son had caused it while he was "walking".

Hours before the meeting on Friday, the New York Times reported that Mr. Musk allegedly used a cocktail of drugs, including ketamine and magic mushrooms, during the Trump campaign.
