Heavy in Thessaloniki / Masked persons beat policeman, attack Greek opposition
The Incident in Thessaloniki, Greece

Tensions dominated Sunday night outside the Olympion cinema in Thessaloniki, where Greek opposition leader Stefanos Kaselaqis was attending an event.

Masked people who took part in a protest in Thessaloniki, cursed SYRIZA President Stefanos Kasselakis as he arrived at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, at the Olympion cinema. In a word, they insulted him in the 1990s.

A few minutes later, according to Thestival, the same group of masked men attacked the policeman who was at the entrance to the cinema. One of them hit him in the face with the helmet he was holding.

The masked men took the policeman's hat. A speeding vehicle has gone to the cinema to provide first aid to the police officer.

The injured policeman was taken to the General Military Hospital 424.
