U.S. Ambassador to Pristina Jeffrey Hovenier called Milan Radoicic a criminal, while stressing that the latter should be held responsible for the attack in Banjska.
He also commented on the banjska terror attack suspect's meeting with Serbian Ambassador to Washington Marko Djuric. Hovernier reiterated the American position about Radoichich, who has long been put under sanctions by the U.S. state treasury.
"As senior US government officials have said: Serbia must hold accountable those involved in the attack carried out by ethnic Serb paramilitaries in Banjska that resulted in the tragic death of a Kosovo Police sergeant. He claimed responsibility for the attack in Banjska through his lawyers.
He is a criminal who must be held accountable. The United States' position on Mr. Radichich is well known. Mr. Radoičič is under U.S. government sanctions for involvement in corruption and transnational organized crime," Hovenier told Klankosova. This response comes after a picture of Radonic with Serbia's ambassador to Washington circulated a day earlier on the network.
