New details from Israeli attack in Doha: Hamas leader's son killed, but
Israeli attack on Doha

New details have emerged from the Israeli attack in Doha. Sky News reports that the son of Hamas leader Khalil Al-Hayya was killed, but other members of the Hamas leadership survived.

Al-Hayya is a Hamas leader who fled Gaza and is considered the group's most influential figure outside the country since Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in July 2024.

He is one of five men on Hamas's leadership council who have led the group since Yahya Sinwar was killed by Israel last October.

This is not the first time Israel has killed a member of Al-Hayya's family.

An Israeli airstrike hit his family's home in the Sejaiyeh neighborhood of Gaza City in 2007, killing several of his relatives.

During the 2014 war between Hamas and Israel, the home of his eldest son, Osama, was bombed, killing him, his wife, and three of their children.
