The ministers of the temporary government in Greece are sworn in!

The new ministers of the interim government of Greece, which will lead the country until after the June 25 elections, took the oath today to President Katerina Saqellaropoulou.

The new government consists of 19 technical ministers. Prime Minister Ioanis Sarmas, who heads the Court of Audit, was sworn in on Thursday.

Vasilis Kaskarelis, a diplomat with a 35-year career who has also held the post of Greek ambassador to Washington, to the European Union, to NATO and the United Nations, has been appointed as Foreign Minister.

As the Parliament is expected to convene on the weekend and after the approval of the government will be dissolved for 2-3 days, the largest opposition party Syriza has begun to split.

The presidency is splitting into two factions, one supporting President Tsipras and the other demanding a collegial leadership of the party.

Syriza was also embroiled in scandal after five of its members were arrested while trying to buy votes ahead of Sunday's elections in the north of the country.
