The man with the longest nose in the world has passed away. Turk Mehmet Özyürek, who had an 8.8 cm long nose, died at the age of 75.

According to local media, he fell ill last week and suffered a heart attack before undergoing brain surgery.

The Guinness Book of Records has measured the Turk's nose 3 times, once in 2001, once in 2010 and again in 2021, to confirm that his record continues to remain intact.

Regarding the special record, Mehmet Özyürek said: "I really like this feature of mine. I like the world, I like the Book of Records and I like the woman, of course."

" I always smelled smells that others didn't smell. I had a very developed sense of smell. I have a big nose genetically, my father had it, my uncles also... I have accepted myself as God made me, and I am even happy to represent Turkey in the Guinness Book of Records. Some become martyrs, some prime ministers and some record holders ".
