American Ambassador: We do not support "Greater Albania", but neither

The Ambassador of the United States of America, Jeff Hovenier, in a conversation with journalists from the Kosovar media, spoke about the situation of Kosovo with Serbia, as well as about Albin Kurti's visit to Macedonia and Vei, which caused a lot of debate.

Debates were caused about Kurt's visit, after the flag of "Greater Albania" was displayed. In this regard, Hovenier said that the USA does not support Greater Albania, stressing that neither does Greater Serbia.

"I want to reiterate the position of the United States of America on this matter. It is very important and I want him to read literally the position of the American government on this, to make it clear that the United States of America does not support Greater Albania and we do not support Greater Serbia either", said the American Ambassador.

" The United States of America does not support the "redrawing" of state borders in the Balkan region. Any attempt to do something like that would be counterproductive and destabilizing. The US strongly supports the territorial integrity of all countries in the Western Balkans, including Kosovo ," he said among other things.
