Three people have died in an accident between two vehicles, one of which was an official police vehicle. The incident occurred on Sunday evening on the Mitrovica-Peja road.

The Mayor of Skenderaj, Fadil Nura, announced earlier that three people died in the fatal accident.

In this regard, the Kosovo Police has also issued a statement stating that three of the people who lost their lives are civilians, while five other people, four of them police officers, were injured.

"Tonight at around 18:40, a traffic accident with fatal consequences was reported, which occurred on the Mitrovica-Peja regional road, the road segment in the village of Çubrel, Skenderaj.

Two vehicles were involved in this accident, one of them an official police vehicle.

"As a result of the accident, based on the information provided, three civilians lost their lives, while five other people were injured, four of them police officers," the Kosovo Police announced.
