US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs and other restrictions on Colombia today after the Latin American country rejected two US military planes filled with illegal immigrants.
The Colombian president said he would accept his returning citizens, but only if it was done with dignity via civilian aircraft and the migrants were not chained, as the footage showed.
"These measures are just the beginning," Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. "We will not allow the Colombian government to violate its legal obligations regarding the acceptance and return of criminals they forced to come to the United States," he added.
Immediately after the decision, Trump shared a photo of himself (via artificial intelligence), where he appears as a mafia "Don", and next to him is the phrase "FAFO", which roughly translates to "try it and see what happens to you".
