After the strategic investors in Vlora, Himara, Saranda and Lalëz Bay, it is the turn of the Kavaja coast. This time the strategic investor has taken for 30 years the beach of General, known as one of the most beautiful beaches on the Albanian coast.

The decision was taken in December last year by the Strategic Investment Committee and gives the company "Mediteranian Wave" for the realization of the project of the same name in the area of ​​635 thousand square meters of public property.

Not only that. The decision of the Committee obliges a number of institutions to be put in the service of the private company owned by Shpëtim Shijaku, to build the necessary road infrastructure, electricity and water supply.

According to the decision, the Municipality of Kavaja is obliged to review its local plan to adapt to the project of the private company for the development of this area. But what is strategic about this strategic investment?

The decision of the Committee states that only 80 people will be employed for its realization, as much as there is an average tailor. But, unlike the tailors, the strategic status gives 'Mediteranean Ëave' and Shpëtim Shijak the ownership for 30 years of 63.5 hectares of public property as well as the exclusive right to use the beach for the same period.

Within the territory given for the realization of this project is also the "White Nest", classified since 2019 as a natural monument, in which the highest degree of protection is applied, according to the decision number 303 of May 10, 2019. Government.

The monument according to the decision of the Strategic Investment Committee will be left in good faith to the strategic investor to preserve and take care of its perimeter.

The complex will consist of hotels, hotel villas (tourist village), hotel services, parks and spaces for activities and systems of the coastline.

The accommodation structure will have about 250 units (including hotel villas, studios, hotel apartment), 170 hotel rooms and suites and more than 700 parking spaces, 150 houses with terraces and 5 green parks.
