Higher prices for new apartments/ Construction costs are rising again, due to

New apartments and flats are expected to be more expensive next year as costs for builders have increased.

According to the data of the Institute of Statistics, in the July-September period, they increased by 4.2%.

However, the figure remains at a slower rate than a year ago, which was 7.2%.

The increase in construction costs is expected to directly affect another wave of apartment price increases.

The main causes of these costs are energy with 6.6% and the increase in salaries of employees in this sector, with 4.8%

Referring to the report, divided by groups, the prices of construction materials, mainly hydrosanitary and ventilation ones, increased by 4.4% each, followed by the group of electrical materials by 2.5%.

We recall that a little earlier in the accompanying report of the Bank of Albania, construction was the most optimistic sector for the economy and they expected a further increase in prices.
