What is happening in the energy sector? Resignations, dismissals for family reasons or processes under investigation by SPAK? It still remains unclear why, but in the last two days we have two resignations from KESH and OSHEE. Thus, the General Director of the Albanian Electric Power Corporation, Ergys Verdho, has left his post, resigning for reasons that have not yet been clarified.

Ergys Verdho was appointed as the director of KESH in June 2021. During his time at the head of the Corporation, the country faced the extraordinary energy situation as a result of the crisis imposed by the war in Ukraine.

But this is not the only departure from the energy sector. After the director of KESH, it is learned that the head of FSHU, Elton Sevrani, has also resigned.

Just a few days ago, the news was published in the media that SPAK has gone to the offices of OSHEE for an investigation related to the cancellation of debts of businesses and citizens for unpaid energy bills in exchange for bribes. SPAK has seized Mr. Sevrani's phone as one of the persons under investigation for this matter.

Elton Servani has a long career at the Electricity Distribution Operator, holding important positions at the head of key departments at this company. With the split of OSHEE into several companies he was appointed head of the Universal Service Provider. /VoxNews
