Usually when Ilir Meta suddenly announces a press conference, especially at the weekend, you should see what happened during the day. And to understand who ruined his weekend today, you have to watch two speeches at the Socialist Congress.
The first, that of Edi Rama, who did not take it at all, but called on the SPAK to turn its eyes to the corruption of Sali Berisha, as a US-certified official for minimum democracy, major corruption along with his family and blackmail of the justice system, as well as the speech of Erion Iire, who portrayed Ilir Meta as a candidate for these sanctions, citing his alcohol inevination in cafes and attacks on the US.
For Ilir Meta both speeches are one and "orchestrated" against him.
The first, therefore, Edi Rama's speech, puts him paranoia that the US will increase pressure on the SPAK towards Sali Berisha's crimes, with many of which Ilir Meta himself relates, as is 21 January and pressure on justice not to be investigated. But it would only be enough for the idea that justice is coming under pressure to affect Sali Berisha, that Ilir Meta be alarmed and ready for attack.
The second, Erion Iire's speech, makes him even more paranoid, as what Edi Rama does not mention, turned Ilir Meta into another candidate to whom justice should be investigated.
In short, Edi Rama's calls for justice to investigate Sali Salvini as a politician under US sanctions and learning of the argument that the Socialists themselves have let justice act against their corrupt officials, complete with accusations of Illyrian Meta as anti-American drunk enroutes, are sufficient reason for Ilir Meta to feel unsafe and explode.
If you look at his speech at the press conference, explaining lSI's graphic materials explained in dozens of television shows, all the concern was that it would not be considered as if socialists were punished by justice. His real concern is that if the Socialists are considered a party that allows justice to investigate and act, then he and Sali Berisha are next.
To all his concern today, and the one he warned at the end of his presidential term, is that he shout daily that socialists are not being punished by justice and to mean that he and Sali Berisha are not next to be convicted.
This of course increases political pressure on justice and puts the SPAK and other institutions of justice in a difficult position, as it does not matter what Ilir Meta says when talking about justice. Whenever he opens his mouth to justice, 90 per cent of Albanians have the same sentence in their head in mind: "As they still leave it free".
