Prime Minister Edi Rama has welcomed the work of the State Police, who arrested the person who set fire to Qeparo in record time.
Rama, while welcoming the work of the police, calls for arsonists to be strictly punished, as he writes that the law foresees up to 15 years in prison.
"Burning forests is a barbaric crime that must be punished mercilessly by justice, to make it very clear what awaits an arsonist in this world, before he burns in the hell of the afterlife," Rama writes among others.
Rama's full post:
I salute the State Police who again reacted quickly to catch the arsonist on Qeparo, where the fire spread even by the presence of the wind disturbed many tourists in the evening, as the air force was forced to stop throwing water from above as a result of darkness
The very efficient reactions of the police have caused that with the reopening of the courts, a number of arrested arsonists will appear before the court, where I wish, hope and call for them to be treated with the strictest punishments, for the destruction of a priceless property passed down from generation to generation generation, which belongs to generations and for the violation of which the law provides up to 15 years in prison
Forest burning is a barbaric crime that must be punished mercilessly by justice, to make it abundantly clear what awaits an arsonist in this world, before he burns in the hell of the afterlife.
