This has stimulated the interest of the media in the neighboring country as the Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, when she got to know the story, ordered the diplomatic staff of the embassy to make the payment.

The owners of the restaurant have made a public reaction, as they say they had a lot of interest from the media, but have refused to give interviews.

They thanked the Italian Prime Minister for the payment, while they indicated that they will keep the money as a memory and against the evil eye.

Albanian and Italian journalists and TV channels have contacted us, but we have not allowed any interviews. Those Italian citizens who fled without paying have made a big publicity for our city. Let's thank them!

We already said that there was no problem here because the Italians are at home, many of them come as our family members to Italy when we emigrated. We also said we hope they enjoyed the food. Hopefully they spent that money on something nice!

Heartfelt thanks to Georgia Meloni, a real lady! We are not rich we work hard as a family we don't do so much that we are not impressed by that money! But this is not a matter of money for us and we are very touched by her gesture!
