25-year-old Sakhidad Ahadi continues to lie about his age, saying that he is only 20, as the court classified him as a dangerous predator for seducing the little girl by dragging her to his room.

The rapist says he wants to continue his life in Britain, claiming he was shot by the Taliban after refusing to be recruited by them, who he says then killed his father.

While the girl and her Albanian brother were brought to Britain by their mother and were accommodated in the historic Crystal Palace hotel in south London – otherwise known in the area as the 'Asylum Hotel'.

The hotel is ironically proud of its British heritage with a plaque near the entrance commemorating that the French writer Emile Zola lived here in 1898 and 1899.

Ahadi admitted the rape of the girl while he was found guilty for the second time of rape in January 2023.

He claims the girl had accepted and believed she was 19, while his lawyer Lisa Wilson argued: "The perception of age may not be clear to someone who grew up in the mountains of Afghanistan." Officials have not released the girl's identity.

Prosecutor Janine Sheff said the accused had followed her repeatedly and then taken her into the room to massage the leg that had killed her.

"She was scared and told him that she is 13 years old, but that did not stop the rape. He then tried to buy her silence by giving her a mobile SIM card and £5, which he told her to keep in touch with.

The prosecutor said the victim had learning disabilities that made her even weaker, while medical examinations showed internal injuries that were caused by the abuse.

Ahadi has been arrested since January 2, while the victim said in a statement: "I am upset and cry all the time. I can't sleep at night because I feel like someone is following me."

Her mother said: " The sky has fallen on me. They came to this country for safety and I didn't want something like that to happen to my children ."

Handing down the ten-year prison sentence and the permanent registration of sex offenders in Britain, Judge Dunne said: "You are a danger to the public and you have shown no remorse for your actions."
