New details have emerged regarding the murder of a 26-year-old hairdresser in Barletta, Italy.

According to the Italian newspaper, La Reppublica, the mother of the young Italian man stated that her son had nothing to do with the Albanian mafia.

"He had a circle of acquaintances that I didn't like. We argued about it,"  said his mother, Maria Marzocca.

And after her son was killed, she went to tell investigators.

"We were afraid, because these are dangerous people, but I couldn't stop, they tore my skin and my heart,"  his mother said.

The murder of 26-year-old hairdresser Francesco Divisti was a "score-settling" planned by a drug gang.

This group was led by a 40-year-old Albanian named Igli Kamberi. The victim disappeared on April 25, 2025 and was found dead four days later.

According to prosecutors Daniela Chimienti, Ettore Cardinali and Vito Valerio, the perpetrators of the murder are Igli Kamberi, Nicola Di Benedetto and Antonio Lanotte, who forcibly took Divesti from Barletta and took him to a quarry between Minervino and Canosa, where they killed him with five bullets fired from two guns. The body was then burned.

The crime arose from a debt of 500 euros for a quantity of drugs that Divisti had taken from the group and then thought of paying it off by offering Kamber a rental car. After returning the vehicle, the 26-year-old still had 300 euros unpaid. But he had disputed the mileage done with the car and had explained that he would not give any more money.

The young man was forced to kneel and, after the first bullets, was also hit in the face. The cruelty of the execution was intended to serve as a warning to others, including Diviesti's friend, who had been brutally beaten in a bar and was to die with him.

According to investigations by the DIA and the Andria police, he only escaped because on April 25 he was arrested for weapons possession.

Kamberi had established a stable and dominant drug trafficking group in Barletta, whose millions of euros in profits were then sent to Albania to be laundered. In two DIA operations, 680,000 and 400,000 euros were seized.

In addition to the five arrests in Barletta, ten security measures were also executed in Albania, as part of another investigation coordinated by the Special Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, with which the DDA of Bari continues to cooperate, at the instigation of prosecutor Roberto Rossi.
