New details have emerged from the serious incident recorded this afternoon in Maliq, where a minor was killed with a knife by his peer.

Sources indicate that the victim is citizen Erald Xhejo, 14 years old. The two minors clashed with knives in the premises of a bar, around 17:00 in the village of Pirg.

During the fight, the other 14-year-old stabbed Erald Xhejo, leaving him injured. The latter was urgently sent to the hospital in Korça, but he could not survive the injuries received.

Sources indicate that the victim is from the village of Zvirina, while the perpetrator is from the village of Leminot, while the reason for their presence in Pirg, the three villages of the Municipality of Maliq, remains to be clarified.

The police authorities reported that the other minor, the suspected perpetrator of the crime, has been escorted to the hospital, to receive treatment, and is under the supervision of the Police.
