The murder of Gilmando Dani

Gilmando Dani was killed this Tuesday in a mafia assassination attempt.

The incident occurred at around 2:20 p.m., at the Rinas airport roundabout.

Dani, 47, was a passenger in a white car.

The driver of the car, identified as 40-year-old Muçi Shaljani alias Sheqeri, was seriously injured.

Meanwhile, the full dynamics of the assassination have been revealed.

At first, the perpetrators fired from their car, after they had driven parallel to the other vehicle.

So much was fired at the car that bullets also damaged a nearby hotel.

Then, the Benz car in which the victim Dani was travelling lost control and went straight at the Rinas roundabout.

Then, the perpetrators' Toyota vehicle pulls up in front of them and one of them gets out of the car and shoots at close range.

The perpetrator who got out of the car was masked.

In front of the car where Gilmando Dani and Mustafa Sheqeri were, a taxi was passing by at that moment.

It is suspected that there was a gunfight from the car where Dani and Sheqeri were.

Gilmando Dani who had been released from prison a year earlier, in October 2024, and lived most of the year in Spain.

Three Kalashnikovs and a pistol were found in the perpetrators' burned-out vehicle in the village of Halil. The weapons have been sent for further examination.
