The court of Rovigo sentenced Nadire Kurti to 14 years and 6 months in prison. She killed her husband, Shefki Kurti, 72 years old, last year.

Nadir, 69 years old, dismembered her husband's dead body and after putting it in several bags threw it into a canal. The woman admitted the crime on August 18 of last year. She claimed to have used a machete and several knives.


The body parts were first found on July 28. Everything happened as a result of the canal drying up. The authorities have also seized the weapons of crime.

The prosecutor explained that the brutality of this crime had made the investigators think of other tracks first. In fact, first there was talk of a connection with organized crime. But later it was revealed that it was about family problems.

But later it was discovered that Nadirja had psychological problems. For years she was followed by a psychiatrist. Also, she was hospitalized in psychiatry in August last year for symptoms of personality disorder.

" He mistreated me, beat me, asked me to leave because he was going to sell the house. He had threatened me several times that he would kill me and cut me to pieces, and that day he threatened me either I would die or he would die ", Kurti confessed.
