The Court of Appeal in Tirana has sentenced the young Klajdi Shundi, who killed his brother-in-law, Vladimir Zvezhda, to 8 years in prison on New Year's Eve on January 1, 2021.

In his testimony, Shundi claimed that he did not remember anything from the event, while he said that he had a good relationship with the victim, Vladimir Zvezhda. 42-year-old Vladimir Zvezhda had gone with his wife to her parents' house to celebrate.

After an argument with his brother-in-law, Klajdi Shundi shot him in the neck with a knife. He was taken to the hospital but could not survive due to heavy bleeding.

After the fight in the apartment, they went outside and at the entrance of the building, the 34-year-old shot his brother-in-law in the neck with a knife, causing his immediate death.
