The murder of the Albanian couple Vera Myrtaj and Flonino Merkuri by Vera's ex-husband, Viron Karabollaj shocked public opinion.

Viron Karabollaj committed the crime after not accepting their love story, killing them with a knife and then strangling himself with a rope at the place where he worked.

Vera Myrtaj's friend also spoke about this serious event. In the show "Me Zemër te Hapur", of the journalist Evis Ahmeti, she also showed her special relationship with her friend.
