The Tirana court has sentenced the only person arrested for the murder of Miri t Xhike, Lavdrim Tufa. He was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison, but has now been released. He was sentenced for complicity in the murder of Fatmir Rama, known as "Miri i Xhike", as well as two other people who were in the bar "Kartodrom 2000". 

On the evening of March 29, 2003, Fatmir Rama, together with his acquaintances Ylli Kelmendi, Nazmi Çela, Kristaq Cami and Flamur Rrapaj, were sitting at one of the tables of the restaurant on the first floor of the "Kartodrom 2000" complex. located on the outskirts of the city of Tirana and near the village of Lundër. The above persons, due to the acquaintances they had with each other and the fact that the football match between Albania and Russia was taking place, stayed together on the day of the event.

Around 8:00 p.m., two masked people approached quickly and without being noticed outside the bar, they started shooting at the table where the above people were sitting.

At this moment, the witness Ylli Kelmendi was standing at a distance from the table, while Julian Durishti, as an employee of the bar, was near the table where the victims were. As a result of the barrage of bullets, Fatmir Rama and Julian Durishti were killed instantly, and a few moments later Kristaq Cami, while Flamur Rrapaj was injured and lost consciousness.
