Today, "Nisma Thurje" has held a symbolic protest in front of the Ministry of Tourism, triggered by the debate on strategic investors and criminal events on the coast for the allocation of territories for deckchairs.

Some young people from the "Nisma Thurje" have placed a lounger, an umbrella, a basin and a "public beach" sign in front of the Ministry of Tourism and have addressed several questions to Minister Mirela Kumbaro.

"Have you given permission to restrict access to citizens in various parts of the beaches in Vlora, Palasa, Dhërmi, Saranda, Jalë, Himare, Ksamil, Kakome, Durrës, Gjiri i Lalzi and Qerret, and are you aware that on these beaches or on other beaches are there physical persons or private companies that have placed beams, barbed wire, iron gates and guards, and do not let you enter?

Who is responsible for the occupied beaches, for the coast guards who are absent according to the distance law, for the non-disinfection of the coasts as well as for the discharge of sewage into the marine waters?" are the two questions addressed to Kumbaro.

"Nisma Thurje" has also started signing a petition for the return of 100% public beaches throughout the country.

Since the Ministry of Tourism has decided to give the entire coastline to the private sector and strategic investors, we decided to make the "beach" today near the door of this institution.

A tragedy could have happened in Radhimë, just like the one a year ago in Velipoja. Shezllonet once again gets into trouble for conflicts with weapons, this time even between two brothers. The greed to privatize the beaches is great. Equally great is the irresponsibility of the institutions that are giving the sea to oligarchs, strategic investors and businesses that may even pay bribes to get as many square meters of sand as possible, and for umbrellas ranging from 500 to 3,500 daily stay lek.

Prej javësh kemi monitoruar vijën begdetare dhe kemi vënë re se hapësirat publike nuk ekzistojnë, janë thërrime, të papërfillshme, kundrejt privatizimit masiv. Ndërkohë që shqiptarët nuk kanë vend ku të bëjnë plazh, Minstria e Turizmit nuk denjon të kthej përgjigjie për shqetësimet që kemi ngritur. Na zvarrit duke e deleguar përgjegjësinë tek Agjencia Kombetare e Bregdetit, e cila edhe pse ka detyrim që të sigurojë performancën e zonave bregdetare, e vetmja punë që bën është propaganda me foto në faqen e tyre të webit.

Ndaj sot kemi ardhur këtu përpara ministrisë për dy qëllime: e para për të bërë plazh falas në këtë kohë të nxehtë, se në bregdet nuk gjetëm vend ku ta ngulnim çadrën falas, dhe e dyta për t’i kërkuar llogari këtij institucioni.
Zonja ministre: A keni dhënë leje që në pjesë të ndryshme të plazheve në Vlorë, Palasë, Dhërmi, Sarandë, Jalë, Himarë, Ksamil, Kakome, Durrës, Gjiri i Lalzit dhe Qerret të kufizohet hyrja për qytetarët dhe a jeni në dijeni që në këto plazhe apo në plazhe të tjera ka persona fizik apo kompani private që kanë vendosur tra, tela me gjemba, porta hekuri dhe roje, dhe nuk të lënë të hysh?

Kush mban përgjegjësi për plazhet e zaptuara, për rojet bregdetare që mungojnë sipas ligjit të distancës, për mosdezinfektimin e bregdeteve si dhe për derdhjen e ujrave të zeza në ujrat detare?
