The Special Appellate Panel today dismissed the head of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, Elisabeta Imeraj.

But this decision was preceded by Voxnews.al.

Prior to the KPA decision, Voxnews.al confirmed from its sources that despite the lack of evidence, the KPA had taken the decision to leave prosecutor Imeraj out of the justice system.

Meanwhile, in a statement to the media immediately after the decision was made public, Imeraj compared today's decision of justice with the sentences in the time of communism for agitation and propaganda.

"What justice reform aims for is an independent system that transcends public confidence, that makes evidence-based decisions, despite political, economic, criminal or international pressures. "If the justice reform is to be based on documentation with anonymous denunciations, then it is true that Elisabeta should be fired", said the former chief prosecutor of Tirana.
