Former MP Halit Valteri is the great-grandson of Beqir Valteri, the assassin of Ahmet Zogu in 1924.
In an interview with BalkanWeb he says that despite what happened 98 years ago the two tribes are very close to each other.
According to him, Ahmet Zogu learned the truth of the assassination attempt on him and for this reason he forgave Walter.
Regarding the photo posted on social networks with Prince Leka, Halit Valteri says that she has been separated from a conversation between friends and this is not the first time they meet together.
A photo of you with Prince Leka has been published on social media and now the public is familiar with the fact that you are the great-grandson of Beqir Valter, the assassin of Ahmet Zogu. Under what circumstances did you meet?
Our two tribes have been close to each other and it is not true that there has been enmity. Beqir's event with the King, happened due to a hostility. It has nothing to do with what is said up and down about the connections with Avni Rustemi. After the King learned the truth, he forgave Beqir. Since then we have been friends with the Zogolli family.
During the meeting with the Prince, did you also discuss this event of the two tribes?
We talked about many topics to tell the truth. We were at a table with a lot of friends and from there we took this photo we posted. It is not that it had any special meaning. The Prince and I have met other times.
