The Traffic Police of Tirana has made a balance of the work in the field.

It is learned that in the last week of January, until today, 19 people were arrested for violating traffic rules, while 9,657 administrative measures were imposed.

" In the last week (29.01.2024 - 04.02.2024), the Tirana Road Police Station has taken actions to ensure road safety:
-19 people have been arrested for criminal offenses in road traffic, including cases of driving under the influence drunk, without driving license, under the influence of narcotics and for active corruption.
-9,657 administrative measures were imposed for various violations, including wrong overtaking, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt, and wrong posture.
- 42 cases ended with the suspension of the driver's license, with the possibility of conversion to a fine.
-15 vehicles were blocked for various reasons, including lack of documentation and unliquidated liabilities. The Traffic Police appeals for caution and respect for traffic rules to ensure everyone's safety." , - it is said in the police announcement.
