The testimony of the victim's family members in Berat, who had gone to the city's Castle for tourism, is revealed, while everything turned into tragedy.

Keli Hoxha , have stated to the police that the conflict started only because the victim had touched the horse with his hand.

They emphasize that their family member did not curse or insult the perpetrator, but was struck unexpectedly, after he had only said: "There is nothing wrong."

The incident occurred at around 15:10, where after an argument over weak motives, 63-year-old Kristo Mema (also known as Kontandin Hoxha) attacked 42-year-old Keli Hoxha with a cutting tool, who later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

The perpetrator was located and arrested in the Kala neighborhood, near Tabja, by the services of the Berat Police Commissariat in cooperation with the structures of the Local Police Directorate.
