The testimony of the son who killed his father yesterday is revealed. The incident took place in Shkallnur, Durrës, where Marjan Kodheli stabbed his 69-year-old father to death with a bread knife.
" We were eating bread and my father was yelling at me. He wouldn't let me eat in peace. I don't remember why it happened, but we've been fighting constantly since I returned from Greece, six months ago."
"I lived in France, I have a French passport. I stayed there for about six years and then I went to Greece, where I worked for six months. I came back home from Greece and was unemployed. We had an argument with my father. The argument happened while we were having lunch. I don't know how it happened, I took the knife and shot him ," he said.
Sources from the investigation team indicate that family members have testified that the 25-year-old had previously gone to the hospital for a visit, about two years ago.
The doctor had told him that he needed to see a psychiatrist to assess his mental state, but he and his family had refused, claiming that he had no mental health problems.
His father had stated at the hospital that the boy had no mental problems and did not need treatment.
In the village they are known as a quiet family, without problems, but the son had emigrated early.
