The head of the National Inspectorate of Territory Protection (IKMT) in the city of Vlora, Simbol Pazaj, has been dismissed.
Media sources indicate that the reason for the dismissal is related to the documentation of Fjorentin Bel's hotel in Dhërmi, which had to be verified before.
Simbol Pazaj was previously the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Himara, while he took the post as Director of the National Inspectorate of Protection of the Vlora Territory in November 2020.
We remember that Fjorentin Beli was a counter in the local elections, which in this municipality were won by the candidate of 'Bashke Fitomje', Fredi Beleri. His hotel in Dhërmi was besieged just two days after the elections and demanded to be demolished.
The owners themselves and its supporters declared that they would not allow the hotel to be demolished and the demolition was suspended. The inspectors claimed that the hotel was built without a permit, while the owners claimed the opposite. They said they are fine and have all the necessary documents.
The hotel had an additional building permit from the current mayor Jorgo Goro, but had built an additional floor on top of the permit. The documents made available by the family show that for the supplement he received, as it appears from the documents, the right for legalization on May 5 of this year in the middle of the electoral campaign. A document from the State Cadastre Agency dated May 16 confirms receipt of legalization. But one day after this document, by order of the IKMT, the foremen and engineers mined the building amid the protests of the family.
