Another person is added to the list of those investigated by the police and prosecutor's office of Tirana, as suspects related to the death of Kenyan Joy Ayoko, who was brutally raped last summer.
A few days ago, officers from police station number 1 accompanied to interrogate another person, whose emir came out after the testimonies given by Rodin Barçi, the driver of the casino where the Kenyan worked, as well as his friends.
The young police and prosecutor's investigator, whose name is not being made public due to the investigation, is also known to be an employee at the same casino.
During the statements, he claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the 22-year-old before the incident, but he was not aware of any conflict with her.
Sources from the investigative group told ABC that the examination of the casino's security cameras showed that the suspect and the Kenyan girl were often seen in each other's company.
Thanks to the evidence collected in the apartment where Joy lived, the investigators have discovered that he had been in the Kenyan's apartment two days before she was in a serious condition, on August 13 of last year.
The 22-year-old Kenyan had come to Albania and was employed in a casino. On her body, numerous injuries were found on the head and ribs, which is suspected to have thrown the young woman from the second floor of the apartment where she lived for rent after being raped.
Initially, Joy Ayoko was admitted to the Trauma Hospital in a comatose state, and was later sent to her hometown for treatment, but she died due to her critical condition.
So far, no arrests have been made for this incident. Meanwhile, the police and the prosecutor's office are waiting for the clarification of the phone conversations that will benefit from the two mobile phones of the 22-year-old, one of which is in the hands of SPAK investigators to be decoded. The investigators have asked the Kenyan's mother to make Joy's laptop available to them if valuable evidence for the investigation can be obtained from it.
