The Commission for the Protection of Magistrates approved this Monday the request of judge Arnisa Kelliçi for special protection.

The special protection by the Guard of the Republic has been approved for a period of 3 months with the right to review at the end of this period.

The Tirana judge applied for protection to the High Judicial Council on Saturday, after receiving a threatening letter for her and her family. She also requested investigations by the police to find the perpetrators.

A day ago, the police said that the investigations are continuing, but they have not yet managed to identify who sent the letter with the threatening message for the life of the magistrate and her children.

On the other hand, in the letter sent to the KLJ, Këlliçi claims that this was the second threat that was made to her, as earlier she was notified by the chancellor of the Court of Tirana about a threat on her behalf.
